Yikes, if you can wait it out I would try to do that...

I just picked up a 2014 AC TRD Sport with 48,000 miles from a dealer for 21. Is the OR package worth spending the same $$$ on a truck with almost 100,000 more miles?

The '13 sport you mentioned in your last post seems like a better deal than the OR packages...

Are there that many buyers looking to get in to a 2nd gen? The 3rd gen is about to enter it's 7th year of production, and there are plenty of PO 3rd gens out there for sale.

I don't see the demand for a PO 2nd gen.

How do you mean? From what I've been seeing, 3rd go for proportionally more...I would certainly be interested in a 3rd gen for a good deal.

Also, the mods on my current rust bucket would be compatible, that way I don't lose them when I sell it...not a deal breaker though

Jeez those prices are ridiculous. I paid 24K in 2012 for my '11 with 10K on the clock. Talk about resale value. Sheesh.

Coming from a white Tacoma, buy the pyrite mica. The extra cash and miles is meaningless if it brings you joy.

Since you said the extra cost will wash out after some time and more paychecks, I say get the one you want, Tacoma #2.
The latest find (another 2013, let's call it Tacoma #3), does it have Toyota warranty and such? Will you kick yourself later for not getting the bells & whistles?

When did the seats change? When I was shopping I test drove an earlier 2nd gen and the seats were so low it almost kept me from buying a Tacoma altogether. If it was with the 2012 refresh, I'd buy the 2013 all day.
