I would dual it into an X that turns into a Y right before it hits the muffler if you can. Perhaps you can replicate the sound of mine if you like the way mine does. Just an idea!

yah well see what's up. I will let him do his magic. I did not have it done last week when I was there as he did not have all the stuff and rather do it right and setup a "bitchin"setup as he put it. He could welded up quick but that would not be something we would be proud of hahahaha but it will happen. Your truck is sounding good.

If I was to stick to a single without all the stuff I added I totally would had done the setup I mentioned to you for sure. Thanks bro. All thanks to you for contributing the secondary muffler to help complete the parts necessary to make it a true dual.

Nice yah it likely will be something of dual to 3" collector or maybe an X. Right now DT Shorties to improved catless midsection Y deal into 3" collection or Y then 3" back to the BW and turn down at axle. I was partially considering maybe going out the side.

I was initially going to do a side exit as well but the battery tray was in my way so I was like screw it, let's try the dual out with the appearance of a single, eventually it just worked out to a single exit to each side. I'm good with all of it. The only thing left to do is go headers. Eventually. Still working on modding my boat. I've almost got it EXACTLY how I want it too, and then I can pay more attention to my truck again. Lol.

Whats up Roostfactor, was doing little research and found you here so figured I'd reply here.

I am planning on putting a Flowmaster 50 Series SUV on my 4runner strictly for sound, which will have Magnsuon S/C, 2.85 Pulley, Afe CAI Stage 2, URD CAM gears, and URD equal length headers.

As stated, the only reason I am going with Flowmaster is for sound.

With that said, how do you think the Flowmaster will affect the performance under 2000 rpm? I have read of people on some forums complain about loss in mpg and low end torque on their N/A.

Once again thank you for your advise!

get a full length exhaust out that back. dumping at the axle causes significantly more drone inside the cab. plus the extra length deepens the tone slightly

Ok. Noted. I’ve assumed a 3” pipe would be best but there are way more smaller diameters available to choose from. Does it make a difference?

theres probably not much more restriction with the 2.5 at these power levels. id change headers and y pipe if your looking for power gains.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll likely skip it altogether then if that’s the case. I need cats and high flow replacements are a bridge too far once the Maggie is paid for.

You will be fine on stock Maggie setup but exhaust will help if you start to mod

What’s everyone’s take on the SPEC-U exhaust setup? I have some stuff and was planning on having a shop do their thing but also debating if it’s easier to pick up the SPEc u setup since it already is a matched Y pipe and exhaust setup. I will be adding DT shorties up front.

Didn't dyno it but felt like I lost low end torque (S/c w/ 2.85). Louder than I liked. Gained a little mileage - probably because I went lighter on throttle because of the noise. Went back to stock.

I found the Spec-U exhaust (and Ypipe) to lose low end torque. It takes a pretty big hit below 2250RPM.

Ok that’s a bummer. Def don’t want that. what are your thoughts on what to go with? I may just go Keri a shop doing it but can’t find time to go. So if I can find a kit I can bolt up I may do that.
