I installed Bilstein 5100's with OME 885's on my 09 DCSB over the weekend. I did a complete overhaul: new wheel bearings, inner and outer tie rod ends, sway bar end links, oem lower control arms, Tuff Country UCA's and Tuff Country add a leaf. This was new for me so naturally I made a rookie mistake and put the springs on the highest setting and I already know what the issue is. The springs are WAY overloaded and are compressed so much that the struts can't even do their job. What I'm asking is what is the correct setting to achieve the 2" lift I want? Did some reading and I have seen where the .85 setting is the best for the 885's. Is this true? Because right now my truck is doing the Carolina squat but Truly's aren't my thing so I need to get the front end back down where I want. Pics are all pre alignment.

Most of the time OME springs are set at the "0" setting of 5100's. You dont want any extra preload. The spring rate and length of the aftermarket coil is what provides the lift.

for 885s, you should be on the lowest setting (0") of the 5100s.

So at the "0" setting this will still provide me with a lift enough to level the front with the rear? Mind you I installed an add a leaf that is supposed to give me an 1³/⁴" lift in the rear. I was hoping this would give me 2" in the front and the 1³/⁴" in the rear giving me a slight rake but it went the other way.

I dont know how much lift an 885 will provide on a 2nd gen. I was just speaking to the technical aspect of installing the coil on the "0" setting on the 5100.

The coil will provide lift. How much? I have no clue. Maybe somebody else will chime in who can answer that.

Yup. 885s on the 2nd gen will give you 2 - 2.25" lift in the front.

Just trying to confirm, on the "0" setting these will give me the 2 - 2.25" lift in the front? If it's higher in the front I'll get blocks for the rear but right now it rides like a shopping cart in the front. Just need that "better" ride

welcome to the forum. There is a search function in the upper right part of the screen that will provide you with endless “confirmation” that 885’s will net you ~2” when installed on the lowest setting.
From personal experience I will assure you this indeed gospel.

I've been here a while this isn't new for me I prefer to speak directly to those who have had the experience instead of search through several posts but ill take a gander through said "confirmations" momentarily good sir

    Same crap everyone else got
5100's @ 0 with 885's and an aal in the rear. This is how my truck sat with this set up and no extra weight.

Yup. You will be at around 2" with 855s on 5100 set at zero. I had the set up on my 2012 for a couple years. It will ride great.

i have the 5100s and 885x and then a 3 leaf progressive AAL in the rear and it sits perfectly level.

you should get 2-2.25" in the front. i got 2"

edit: My 5100s are set at the lowest setting of 0...make sure that perch is correctly oriented and seated as well.
