Whatsup guys. Had my 2011 trd offroad for a few years now. Last year, i randomly had a strange clutch issue. The pedal went down to about half height, still engaged and disengaged normally, but only used about half of the pedals travel to do so. It did this randomly on and of for a few days. Then it was fine for probably 6 months, occasionally it would drop again in the cold as well. I automatically assumed slave/master needed replaced. So fast forward to today, clutch has been fine for probably 6 months; i get in and nothing. Literally on the floor, i had to start the truck in gear and float gears to get to work today. Heres the weird thing. I go to leave work, and the clutch pedal is firm as a rock. Disengages smooth and has pressure at the full extended height. Im not sure whats going on, i dont have leaks either, my fluid hasnt dropped at all. The pushrod on the master that hits the pedal wasnt returning, so is it possible there is a seal in the master thats bad causing pressure changes or something? Any help is appreciated

Sounds like your master cylinder is on its way out.

I found another thread last night that listed these exact symptoms and it was the master. I called the dealer and the master is on backorder, anyone have any experience with napa, advance auto masters? Any luck?
