Which product replaces this one? Went all over and they've changed the packaging and some info. I purchased the "red" but want to see if anyone actually knows. I have yet to compare "specs" because I'm too lazy to go to the garage and look.

Anyone found a decent site for doing EV swaps/repowers? All my Google searched bring up old irrelevant stuff, might be searching too specific though.

 

It's unclear if EV West in California takes on customer projects or they are selective and do things they want for fun. Worth a call.
If you convert a Baja Bug with a DIY kit, I'd gladly help with the electronics/software parts.

I'm more looking for people who are salvaging parts from wreaked EV and building homebrew, a forum. All the "kits" I found for my 90s truck revolve around Pb batteries and $7k motors. If I'm going to try and future proof a classic I'd rather better factory options.

 

I saw a video the other day where some put a tesla system in a tube chassis. Looked legit

 

Yeah, start looking around on EV West to get a start. They build custom battery packs from disassembled Tesla cells in different configurations (#P#S - Number in parallel, number in series) to both allow for power (series) and kW range (parallel). Their youtube shows some of their projects and is a good place to start learning the terminology and components.

Looking for recommendations on what AGM 6v batteries to use for the new camper solar setup, if anyone has any input for good or bad brands.
