I’ve seen a few trucks come in with it.
You can really see what a shitty job they do. Real easy to see missed spots..

Personally, on a newer non rusted auto, I would go with clear, and use the black to restore or make an older auto "newish" looking again. also, I use FF for the first few treatments, then switch to woolwax's thicker formula. figuring FF is thinner, creeps into the seams, and hard to reach areas, and the WW coats those areas with a thicker product to "seal" off the vehicle. your results may vary. I think the FF Black will look like a mess if applied on non-black parts.

Agree. I spray that stuff everywhere and I am not shy about it. I think FF black would look like you got stuck in a tar pit.

I did black Woolwax last year. Never used a lanolin undercoating before but now I'm sold. I did order some of the "clear" snot-colored stuff too and it works fine but uglier than black. Woolwax is pretty thick and easy to see where it gets applied so as long as you aren't rushing, totally blind, or just a complete dum dum it's easy to see missed spots.

Yes I know I didn't need to put on the front skid plate but wanted to test & see how well it held up to Wisconsin winters and salt. This photo was in the fall before any snow flew but it still looks very good and did the job of protecting against rust.

Harder to see in this photo but it's on most of the frame. Went back later and did more but stopped taking photos.

I've used the regular clear or tan color fluid film and woolwax. I prefer woolwax for it's thicker nature and reduced smell. I think I might go for black on my new Tacoma for two reasons. 1. You can actually see under the truck as opposed to my previous WRX that was super low and 2. It's already black
