Just looking at rear shocks only?

What sort of lift does it have? Blocks or full leaf packs? If it's got a 3" life with OEM shocks, someone wasn't doing things right to start with, as the shocks would have pretty much no down travel left and would be constantly topping out.

Maybe I'm uneducated about Rancho of today. But I've seen Ranchos fail a lot more often than Bilstein and feel that they are not a high quality shock. I noticed GM is using Rancho on their 1/2 ton "off-road" packages and wonder how long the shocks/struts are going to last. I certainly don't feel that they qualify being on a $50k+ truck, but that's GM for ya.

Bilstein has been around forever both OEM, high performance and racing. That experience and knowledge passes down into even their cheapest shocks and struts.
