Hey all! So I have been looking at getting an awning for some time now but there's just so many options! Any recommendations for awnings? (I have a prinsu double cab rack with the quick release mounts) I wish to get something larger than a 4x4 for additional shade. I also want to eventually be able to add in the awning room that would be able to fit 2 cots that are about 6 feet in length. Any recommendations or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hey man, one suggestion would be Roam Adventure Co. They make awnings and rooms that attach to them, so could be what you're looking for. I have one of their 6.5' x 8' awnings and one of their cases (can't speak to long term yet).

Only potential con, for some, is that manufacturing is in China. Otherwise, their customer service and price for quality are both good to go.

I run the ARB Awning in the aluminum case. I only put it on for longer trips. I have the Prinsu Cab rack and the Prinsu rack on the topper.

Same awning on our Transit with one of the side awnings.

I second the Roam customer service. For the price, no complaints.

I will take pics when i get home! I actually have not been using them. The way my roof is set up they are easier to use the ones that come with it. I ended up going with the ironman 4x4. super cool, i love it.

Anybody ever just remove two legs from a 10 x 10 and fab 2 post mounts for the roof rack?

Anyone have a 4 or 5 footer from CVT or OVS? Or even the Yescom EBay one that seems to be popular?

I’m really just trying to find out how sturdy the legs/poles are. I don’t need a big expensive one that will hold up in crazy weather. We really just like them for a kitchen setup with covered proximity to the truck. I’ve got some hanging kitchen gear that we love but I’m usually just stringing rope everywhere lol. Figured these poles could act as a solid place to hang everything. Let me know! TIA!
