Thank you! I honestly thought he was under 130”. I probably would have done a shoulder mount if I would have measured him before cutting off the head  but it’s also cool to be able to say that I did the mount!

I used to hunt in Hamilton county on a family ranch, got tired of all the drama BS, finally bought me some property in Bee county this past December. I have a few more days of regular season, gonna see if I can’t get any deer later this week, there are also tons of hogs mostly coming in at night.

    Installed the lights yesterday.
Huntin this morning est. 140yds away and I can see a deer at the feeder well before sunrise so these lights will come in handy getting a few rounds into some pork in the wee hours.

This buck was around before I put lights out and he still comes back, no problem.

Took a doe. Most of the bucks are small bodied from the rut.

    Nice mature deer there.
How far of a shot? What caliber? what bullet? Did the bullet exit? What did the wound damage look like? i see it next to a fence, was it DRT after the shot?

My buck from around Thanksgiving. Both brow times broken off clean and 20.75” spread. 7CF6360A-4F04-425A-9B68-9BEE3CA3B763.jpg
Wasn’t the one I was looking for but it will eat. 70 yds, 300WSM, 150g Win Deer season. High shoulder quartering away neck shot. Pure devastation and pass through shot.

Well folks lost the lease I had been hunting on for 10 years to a new generation and the wind boys. I've been browsing the Texas online lease site with no luck so if you know of anyone or have any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

I also lost my lease this year. I shot my best buck there this past fall.

I had a Euro Mount done by a guy in Hurst (I think) for $80

Nice mount, and it sucks losing it as lots of good memories were made out there. However, I can somewhat understand for the price the energy people paid to keep hunters out.
