    ok, here I go......

I started off with the billie's 5100 front and rear with a 1'' block and the fronts set to the 4th clip (1.75 lift) . To say the least it made my 2019 taco feel like a wooden wagon from the 1800's.
My back literally started to hurt. So, after doing more homework I decided to buy the ome 885 and set the front 5100 to 0'. Now my trucks feels like a dropped civic, too stiff, way to firm. any advice on what would be a plush\comfy suspension set-up? I'm mainly on highways, I don't do too much trail hawking.
I've heard good things about the 6112 but how much of a improvement are they compared to my current set-up?
    all advice welcomed

My old man put some Rancho Quick lift shocks on his 17 and it seems to ride nice from the couple times I’ve been in it.

don't run digressive valved shocks if you want plush street ride. 5100 and 6112 (plus Icon coilovers) are all digressive valved which makes them stiff on small bumps/road cracks etc.
You'd probably be best going for a custom valved setup to your wants and needs. Hit up Accutune offroad or Down South Motorsports and tell them what you want to achieve and they'll set you in the right direction with a specially tuned shock package

I have 6112 in the front 6th/5th clip to get 2" lift and 5100 in the back with 1.5" lift. I like the ride but this is very subjective though. It is firm to my liking better than the stock OR that I think is too bouncy when I test drove the truck. It would be good if you can find a local TW member with Bilstein set up so you can compare the ride. Is it worth it to move from 5100 to 6112 in the front? I am afraid it won't change much for you if you dont like the ride of your current 5100 set up. My opinion only.

5100’s with eibach springs and it rides amazing. The ran the 5100 with no preload and stock springs and was great. Bumped it up to 5/5 and was terrible so I bought the eibach’s and love it.

Everything locally is sold out! Dam that stimmy money lol. But I’m honestly thinking about removing the 1” block in the rear. And buying either fox 2.0 or the 6112 just to level out the truck. Nothing crazy just 1.25 of front lift so my 265 won’t rub. Thanks for all the input guys I’ll post up a update when I swap out the 5100

Honestly I’d try dropping the preload on the springs and run a 1/4” lean spacer on each side. Run on the 5100’s on the second notch and then with the 1/4 inch spacers you are at 1.15” lift. Costs about $40 and will help. The more preload the worse the ride.

I'm running 885 w/5100 for a year and no complaints. The drive on highways is smooth. The truck is planted, tracks like a train at 80 + mph. I have aal at the back though. What tires do you have?

Im all for modding and customizing but once again we have somebody who bought a truck. Lifted the truck...twice and is now complaining that it doesnt ride like a cadi.

If your street driving leave it stock. That is probably the only way you will be happy.

5100's are great shocks, when I had them installed I really like the planted/firm ride. Where I went wrong was I started to add extra weight to the nose with a ARB heavy bumper/truck and was changing my ride feel NOT the 5100's fault. The 5100's could handle the weight but the extra weight and getting the wrong (888) spring combo my ride quality began to suffer with the constant sag from the 888's. In order to keep my truck at height I would have to keep going up on the shock making my ride stiffer not to my liking. I changed shocks and settled on ADS because I can add height if needed at anytime. The ride is smooth as butter but again they are not cheap! The 5100's will handle what you throw at them just be realistic in your expatiation's in what you are asking the shock to do for you.

I'm running falken wildpeaks at/3 w @ 36psi. again, the 885 ome springs did help alot BUT maybe I need to remove the 1'' block in the rear an add a add a leaf. Maybe I need to go undercover an test drive some lifted taco's from offerup that are for sale lol.

I'm debating between the fox 2.0 or the billie's 6112, now i just have to find some in stock

36 cold? That's too much. You probably going into over 40 psi range when tires get warmed up.
I have my set at 32 cold. With warm temps tires get to 36 after 30 min of driving and become bouncy
