    Just wonder about the pads if they need to build up a lot of heat before they work really well.

    We can agree to disagree, but when I can buy the parts for $90 and do the job in my driveway in less than 2 hours, $365 is still too much for a dealership that has lifts and tools that allow a good tech to do the job in 30 minutes, easy. That being said, my main complaint was their recommending a brake job when the pads were actually at 5MM.....THAT has nothing to do with shop overhead or whether the tech is paid a living wage.

    Only 40k mi? Seems awfully low.

    They sure the rotors were warped and not just excessive pad material build up?
