Good evening all. I am new to this forum and frankly, this is the first forum I have ever joined, and am glad it was this one. I have a 03 Tacoma Pre-Runner. I have always loved Tacomas since I was a teenager and still do to this day. My truck just blew the head gasket and I was searching for input on replacing the head gasket. I am pretty mechanically savvy and am going to replace it myself. I do have a couple of questions. Should I bother replacing the timing chain at the same time? It has about 178,000 miles on it. Also, any tips/tricks for the head gasket replacement are always welcome. I have the Toyota service manual and I feel it will keep me right.

    Thanks, Doug
