Yes, I know its steel, but that's a very broad term. What kind of steel?
Anyone have access to specs like that?

A sway bar is usually a torsion spring that resists body roll motions. It is usually constructed out of a cylindrical steel bar, formed into a "U" shape, that connects to the body at two points, and at the left and right sides of the suspension.

    While technically correct, completely useless.

What type of steel? Specific blend ?

Sway bars are made of low-alloy manganese, medium to high carbon steel specially heat treated to reduce malleability and increase strength.
1095 to 9260 grade steel is used in spring making.
