I just walked past my 2018 after it's been off for around 8 hours. I heard a slight humming electric motor sound. I didn't crawl under it but I'm pretty sure it was the fuel pump. I started the truck. Ran it for around 10 sec. After turning the ignition off, the pump was no longer running. Is this somehow normal?

Fuel is sitting at around 1/8 tank

The truck is doing what I assume to be a self check.

Yes, it’s the evap system. It’s in the manual if you want to read the details. I can’t remember off the top of my head. It has something to do with vapors or fumes after its sat for a few hours.

    EVAP system operating. It's normal.

Huh. Had the same thing happen to me a month or two back, mildly freaked out and cycled the ignition like you. Good to know it's an evap check.
