Yes. The steering wheel controls work. And used the oem mic. I have the Dmx 1037s. Went with alpine x series all around. Upgraded tweeters and 2 10” subs behind behind the back seats. It’s probably one of the best sound quality systems to fit in this little truck.

Is there any noticeable gain from these on-road? I get their primary usage is off-road but seems like there is potential gain for normal street driving as well, but I honestly don't know how much flex that bed actually has.

Thanks. Honestly, I would love to have a large iPad there instead. I’m not sure if that’s even possible to use for a head unit though. Guess I might just have to wait for the cyber truck, whenever they are released.

noticeable gain... hmm. the answer is yes but you will have to be tossing your truck around nothing short of wildly to find out. for almost every on-road situation you'll never notice a thing, but if you can throw her around enough for the back of the truck to wonk around some, then you'll see what the stiffeners calm down. but seriously, you'll feel like you're about to take flight before you notice the flex. my whole mod plan was around these things, because i do indeed toss her around like that.

these were originally designed for beds with loads that see flex on trails. but flex is flex, just that getting it on-road takes some effort.

That is what I figured, normal street driving wouldn't see any gains. My tuck does see dirt, but I have a 4cyl 2wd so it isn't going to see a lot of flexy situations (hopefully).

I hate how much I like this look. Have new 2021 with JBL...so will likely give it a few years and then see how these decks are. The only thing I thinkmi miss is integration with the dash console...like additional nav instructions, etc.

I dont think there are any gains on or offroad with these on a normal truck.
But..... If you have a cap, or you have heavy items mounted to your bed rails then these will help both on and offroad to help keep the bedside up straight. If you dont have anything mounted to the bed sides, then they are just eye candy and extra tie downs.

Yeah, it would be just extra tie downs in my case.... I can spend $20 and 10 minutes with a drill for that!
