2021 Toyota Hilux Mako. For now, only in the New Zealand Market, I have read a couple of reports where it might come out in Australia as well.

I can only surmise that Toyota is testing the market in small segments. I hope this is something that will make it here to the US on the Tacoma platform.

I would buy it for sure.

I like the front end much better then the US Taco's front end.

The sad thing is we NEVER got the really good stuff from Toyota in the US. Even the vaunted FJ-40 was watered down from foreign models.

That front end is no bueno imo. And the fog lights sit way too high

Diesel “Tacoma” won’t be introduced to the US. An EV “Tacoma” will.

I almost balked at 31.5, I walked out the door and got almost too my truck before the salesman agreed. If I financed part of it thru toyota he'd sell for that price. I agreed, then paid off the remaining 50% on the first payment.

Well I don't think they would release a Diesel Taco in the US, it's a hard sell for a mid sized truck with the high price of Diesel here in the states.
In Europe and Eurasia Diesel is cheaper than Petrol.

I am on the fence the more I look at it. It does kind of look like a Ford Ranger, but it sets more level than a Ranger.
The OME set up is nice. I would be tempted =).

I was just hoping that Toyota was testing the waters to eventually release a "from the factory" off roader.

Definitely has a Ranger vibe to it, albeit more angular and aggressive. Love the design. Just wonder what kind of engine, I'm guessing t-4 or hybrid, we would see here.
