I chew up a mouthful of my favorite bean then pour boiling water in, swish it around a bit and spit it in a cup. Minimum equipment, and delicious

Man, there's just something about the taste of a well used, smoke tarnished percolator. It puts me in my happy place.

To each their own! I prefer clarity and a clean cup. Tasting the coffee is super important to me, especially when it's specialty coffee from a local roaster and not from the grocery store. But i understand the nostalgia, definitely a classic feel.

I roast my own coffee and prepare it many different ways depending on the roast. The last trip I tried the percolator and was surprised at how well the coffee taste. I even got 2 people in our group to stop using cream and sugar in coffee-it was that good.

That's awesome! I love when people roast at home. Yeah, good fresh roasted coffee is crucial to a good cup, regardless of brew method.
