    3” OME lift
Morning everyone. I’m brand new to this forum. But I’ve used it for help and expertise in the past.
I live way up north and weather down to -40 is not uncommon. I sought to replace the one CV axel as the boot was torn on my 06 Tacoma. It has a 3” lift. Bought the HD Cardone model but the boot clamp popped off. Returned it. Bought 2 more and replaced both axels.
Subsequently, both clamps popped off and the boots tore within 4months.
Is Cardone crap? And if so can anyone recommend an economical replacement that can withstand the rigours of -40 weather.

Yes Cardone is crap. Almost anything aftermarket is crap. Go oem. Or at least look into the cv boot stretch or extended boots.

I think the general consensus is to stick with OEM for CV shafts

If your cv boot fins are touching, then they will rub apart or pull apart no matter what brand you go with. Not to mention high angles like that on the axles aren't good for their longevity. I would suggest going down a half inch or full one on your lift.

Yea sounds like you need high angle CV boots.
