Maybe I’m crazy but I think my fuel economy has gotten drastically worse. I usually get 21 mpg on the high way, now I’m getting 18.

how far and fast are you driving when you're getting these measurments?
Is your speed consistent, CC, step on the gas to pass someone? etc etc..
I drive the same route to work everyday on the freeway, some days i can get 24mpg, other days i can get 18-19mpg, all depending on how i drive.

60 mph, maybe 70 for a couple seconds. Usually I get 21 mpg, but lately 18.

im making an appointment to get the fuel pump recall done, maybe they can check it out, maybe they won’t.

    Absolutely!
I just took the work F150 down to the farm, and headed back today. 80 of the110 miles in to a decent 10-15 mph wind, so I got about 2-3 less than usual.

    Check your air filter.

Also, this goofy predictive software changes up how the engine responds from time to time. It seems like it takes a solid month of granny driving before you get good mileage.

Do you log it? I have logged my tank fills in every car I’ve owned and that allows me to track mileage to behavior to winter mix to conditions with much accuracy and trend.

Tighten the air intake ducting, a smidge. Switch out the rear diff oil. Check parking brake cable

You are forgetting paint wax, the truck will glide smoother trough the air, another 1 mpg right there.

Disconnect the battery for a while and see if a reset sorts it out, or if your crazy.

Find an independent mechanic with a deluxe scan tool that does more than checking CEL codes. It can tell you if your injectors are dirty , it’s running too rich, the cat is clogged, etc.

Bought my ‘13, 4.0 double cab, five weeks ago. Tracked in town mileage for 125 miles: 15 mpg. Today, drove west on I-10 against strong winds and back, 100 miles total= 22 mpg. But I don’t give a crap...glad to have it no matter the mileage. Don’t plan on long trips in it.
