They destroyed my 2 month old taco

So last night I was involved in an accident that I had nothing to do with. Was at a complete stop waiting for the green light And two cars crashed at the intersection and they both collided with me. Sad day honestly, and my truck is a lease. Looking for advice on what my next steps should be. I have progressive insurance full coverage and already filed the claim. Tomorrow I speak with the person representing my claim. Should be covered completely. I don’t want to pay deductible yet so next option is to wait for my insurance to get the money from the other insurance Companies involved in the accident. I had nothing to do with it so hopefully my insurance doesn’t go up. Looking for advice, thank you guys

Raise holy hell for a new truck from THEIR insurance company (hopefully you got both drivers info?). Don’t be forced to eat this crap sandwich.

 

Fking idiots - I'd sue both parties out the ying-yang you may be able to go pay CASH for one
plus have some money left over. Glad you weren't hurt, except for that sore neck and back
pain you're experiencing... and the headaches and sleepless nights and loss of appetite coupled
with loss of sex-drive... add that to the mental anguish of all of this and it adds up to a brand-new TRD.

 

Yeah definitely going to raise hell. I was not at fault and I refuse to drive the shit they give me after they’re done “fixing” it

 

Why? its a lease. He doesnt own the truck, it goes back at the end of the lease. Also, not every crash entitles the person to a new car... infact, 99% dont get you a new car.

They will give you a quote to repair it, I doubt they will give you a new truck since its not totaled.

 

Refuse to drive the shit they return to me after “fixing it”. Really not pleased with paying for something that is no longer going to be in the same condition I bought it in.

 

I might not own it but sure am paying for it.

Let the insurance deal with it. It won't come out of your deductable. You don't have to do anything except drop it off at the body shop of your choice.

Technically your renting it for 3 years with the option to buy it at the end of your rental. Either way in this case, if the driver at fault didnt have insurance, then your on the hook for it. But all their insurance is required to do is fix the damage.
