I have an opinion about vinyl windows, most are not going to like . First they have no structure to them, because most are hollow framed. They have to be, basically they are ice cube trays with glass and hardware screwed in them. Being hollow they have built in air leaks the weatherstripping isn't designed to keep water out from driving wind and rain, also remember being hollow in cold north regions frost forms inside the frame. Water freezes with 3000 lbs per square inch. The moisture has to get out so they have weep systems, some are better than others. Since they are hollow and without structure the install has to be good or they will not perform as designed. Some direct set windows have no weeps because they are sealed and frost / moisture build up would be nil.
