Big 3 complete! Still need to get in there and do the engine to firewall ground, but I’ll get that tomorrow. 0D84A0C7-75C2-4696-A328-BEC730CFB569.jpg

Nice. What was the final ish length of wire needed? I've got a new alternator, but want to upgrade the wire if I've got it all apart anyway.

Maybe 3’ of red 3’ of black. Still want to do the engine block to firewall tho so I’m not sure what that will be. I ordered 10’ of each, and I’ll be giving to a buddy to do his big 3.

Yeah I currently have the deaver 3 leaf aal. They ride great only problem is they dont hold weight at all. Just ordered some alcans because of that. If your not planning on carrying much weight though I would recommend them.

What gauge of wire did you go with? And you've got the V6 correct?

Probably, just measured red positive I used 3’-2” from alt to fuse box and black negative I used 2’-7” and like 6” of 10 gauge

wait you only have 1 ground right now? Going to the fender? You should really run a ground to the block, the stock location is just below the oil filter. Frame is a good one as well, can do it right below the battery.

Looks like I need to look into this big 3. The ground going to my fender looks pretty freaking sad. Is there a thread on this big 3 that I should have already read by now?

... Fitted a CL Softopper score! Came off a 2010, so I had to adjust it a touch, and I bought a set of generic shell clamps to convert the "utility track" clamps to "standard clamps". 4 months old and a bit under half price due to a separating back window (upper left corner). No problem for me, I would have replaced the rear with tinted as my primary anyway, and some well placed black duct tape will make this plenty serviceable in the mean time as I wait through the 10+ day line at softopper (good for them!)
*Just noticed I only buttoned the corners of the sides, believe me it's lovely all buttoned up :)

Decided to hold off on a camper shell, cant decide if I want a hard top or soft top, and I am quite annoyed at how hard it is and expensive to source parts for camper shells, seems like a racket.

Spent the money instead on RIMS :yay:

The matte colored gunmetal ones are pretty sweet. I was originally gonna get those but the gloss seemed like a better match for a 1st gen. The rim options on the latest gen 4runner are all pretty dope though, even the non TRD ones like the offroad wheels

I ran that ground to the block as well. Definitely wouldn’t have left that out.
