Yesterday around noon I got a phone call and a last minute invite out to big bear after getting the truck tuned. Accepted the offer and 1-2 hrs later we were on the road. Ended up getting there around 3pm with plenty of time to setup camp, relax, bbq and have some beers. Nothing crazy just some relaxing time. Ended up checking out gold mountain this morning and headed over to a Mexican restaurant after for some micheladas and tacos before hitting the road.

It was nice man. Got a little cold at night but not to bad. Let’s plan a trip out! During the day was nice weather but today as we were leaving winds started picking up.

This week I’ve been working on some maintenance for the truck. Transmission fluid and spark plugs changed, just bought new front and rear brakes, going to be cleaning throttle body, changing brake fluid and transfer case fluid as well.

Busy weekend with the truck. Found a leak on one of my shocks so took the rears off and got them over to @desertjunkie760 for a rebuild. While they were off I got a few pointers from Shane about what may be limiting my down travel. Addressed with advice given and was able to get full travel out of my shackles. But with that being said shocks will still limit. Here’s a little before and after it was addressed 9F88285C-9294-46A3-A6B5-4C2009C897F9.jpg35BB794B-9C7D-4D7C-A240-E1511D23B9A7.jpg Next up I was able to get my rear drum brakes replaced. Always a good time changing drum brakes. :frusty:. After getting the brakes adjusted i thought I was done, and then I received my T Case oil from Amazon. Went with Ravenol 75W. Tapped out for the day yesterday, so this morning I was able to get t case oil changed and did a little bit more trimming for the 34’s. Trucks no longer a daily so it’s nice being able to address all the maintenance needed. Also somewhere in the middle of all this was able to find time to get the wife’s prinsu rack installed on the 4Runner.9531C42B-AE1F-4BEB-A781-6CAFBFB8876A.jpg

I think it’s time to switch over to a 14 inch shock.

    Check My Sig.
you won’t cycle a 14” shock with the factory leaf springs locations. No point.

key is mounting the lower shock mount in the appropriate location to optimize travel which I don’t think was done here. Didn’t work on it myself though so cannot confirm.

This weekend we headed out to Sequoia/kings canyon for a 4 day trip, wasn’t as crowded as we were expecting which made it nice to do some site seeing. Overall was a fun trip when we originally went out with only 1-2 days planned out. For the first time since owning the CVT tent we decided to give the annex a shot, ended up being a win. The kids enjoyed sleeping in it as well as having somewhere to clean up for the next days adventures. Ended up doing buck rock jeep trail yesterday before finding a place to setup camp which was a fun time with some nice views. Left this morning thinking the worst, traffic. But ended up with a clear shot home.

With summer coming, the heats coming. So it’s been on the list for a while to get the windows tinted on the truck so took it in today after work for window and top of windshield tint. Just on the ride home I can feel it a lot cooler inside.

Originally installed my front locker onto my switchpro, but to make room for possibly future plans decided to go with a more OEM look for the locker. Installed a overhead switch panel from @MESO and a CH4x4 switch.

Just got back this afternoon from a 3 night camping trip in Sedona which was lots of fun. Over the weekend while I was gone I received some of @MESO new V5 sequential turn signals. Hoping these don’t make me want some sequential headlights now :annoyed:
