    Hello everyone
I've looked on a few detailing forums, but figured I'd ask here to get Tacoma-specific answers.

I have a 2021, and it's had a couple of washes. I was looking to do a more complete wash perhaps getting to some of the swirls, so super light correction. I ended up going with the clear protective film on the front, the hood, and the fenders.

I am curious as to what folks are using if you have protective film installed. I'm inclined to wash, clay bar, iron removal, then some kind of sealant and/or wax - but I'm thinking I may have to do the rest of the truck differently than the sections that are protected (which is almost half the truck by surface area) - but I'd like to stick to the same process/products as much as possible.

Also curious if anyone has any luck (good/bad) with a sealant of polish and a DA going over the film

    thanks!
    Michael

Don't go near the PPF with clay or the polisher all you'll do is scratch them up. You should be able to use a more modern coating on the PPF same as the paint. There are dedicated products for PPF, I know CarPro has a coating for it. Iron remover on PPF should be fine.
