Spydercos are one of the oddest shaped and looking knives buy IMO their blade shapes tend to be the best all around user blades there is. I especially like the leaf shape of the native and sage series.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Solid bowl. Looks even thickness throughout. Good job, I went to school for sculpture design.

I'm looking for a new EDC knife. My current EDC is a Spyderco Sage 1 in S30V which I love.
I'm looking for something to carry while I have my Sage 1 serviced and as a interchangeable EDC with my Spyderco. I would get another Spyderco but I want something in a little different style.

    My criteria is
    • Budget $100 to $200
    • Blade length <4"
    • Weight under 4 oz.
    • Premium steel.
    • Pocket clip (reversible)
    • Flip or manual.
I've narrowed it down to 3 choices so far. But I'm open to suggestions.
    Benchmade Mini Griptillion 555
    Benchmade Bugout
    Zero Tolerance 0450CF

Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments? Open to brands and models.

I've hade a mini Grip with 20CV steel for a while. It is a great knife and carries well. I just recently bought a bugout 535-3 with the carbon fiber scales and s90v steel. It is freaking amazing. Feels much stronger then the standard bugout and is super light.
IMO. Spend a little extra and get the Bugout 535-3

0450CF is a great knife. Carries well, especially if you're wearing slacks.

Check out the Hogue Doug Ritter on Knife works. I have the full size so it weighs 4.5 oz. The mini Ritter would probably fit your description. 20CV steel and around $150.

Please add Zero Tolerance 0640 in 20cv to my list. A little above my price point. But in reality I can afford what I want.
Anyone with experience with this beautiful knife?

    Like, so many.
I have the ZT and the mini grip. Very different knives. Both are great. The ZT is gorgeous. The mini grip I tend to beat up. I think the ZT carries better because it is SLIM. This is going to sound weird: I probably like the ZT better, but I carry the mini grip more often. Any specific questions?
