Not only has this dealer forgotten to replace my oil filter twice, but will not warranty items due to me having replaced my coil-overs with fox 2.5's. is this accurate that my warranty can be fully denied due to having aftermarket shocks ?

They're not going to diagnose a problem that could be related to your aftermarket suspension/install.

You modified a part that could have caused excess wear or damage and created the noise you hear. You can pay them to diagnose the problem and if it ends up being unrelated to the suspension then they should end up covering it under warranty. Otherwise it's all on you.

Most likely related to the lift. How high did you lift the front?

They would have to prove the issue is caused by the lift . You can always try a different dealer . Did you replace the e needle bearings while doing lift ?

Unfortunately they are correct. You're not the first person it's happened to and you won't be the last. If they installed the components you'd be fine.

You set yourself up for scrutiny by making such mods. Why are you still taking your Tacoma to a dealer that forgot to change your oil filter twice?
There must be several Toyota dealerships in Miami if not more.

@PrestigeAerials ,you Might need a sway bar relocate kit. Sway bar might be hitting something like the skid plate or the coil over . Try removing the sway bay. If the sound is eliminated then it’s the swaybar. Or try removing the front skid plate

I think you misunderstand what they said. They are not denying warranty due to aftermarket shocks as you point out. They denied your warranty due to aftermarket lift kit. Bif difference. If you had installed fox 2.5's with no additional lift, they likely would have honored it, but once you went up in height, likely well beyond their pro lift, they denied warranty. Can't blame them for that. I know that when I install my lift, the same will happen.

Agree with what everyone else is saying. If the dealership can link a modification to an issue, they have a right to deny any warranty work. If the issue is totally unrelated to the mod, than the law is on your side. In your case, you are having issues with noise when turning, braking and reversing, which they can easily link to possibly being caused by the aftermarket suspension.

easy fix! install factory components back on truck. see if noise goes away. if it doesn't then you know its not your lift.

It could have been worse. You could have discovered the hard way that dealerships won't warranty damages from off roading either.

A "noise in the front wheel" is too vague, in my opinion. I think any dealer would give you the same answer, since you are lifted. If you don't even know what is creating the "noise", how can you expect the dealer to prove to you that it was or wasn't caused by the lift? The tech has to get paid, regardless, so nothing in it for them to diagnose the problem because if it isn't warranty, you're likely not going to be willing to pay the bill for the tech's time.

Judging by delivery date, it is too soon for ball joints to give up, unless a brutal force was used during the instalation .Go back to your lift installer and have them to troubleshoot your issue.
