Wtf softopper

So I went to softopper website to order the bed rail weather stripping . Asshats are charging 91 dollars to ship 2 rolls of weather stripping that cost 7 bucks each . Only option they give you is fedex ground . Anyone know of another weather stripping I can use to replace the old one .

 

Home Depot and Lowes have several options.

 

Call them. They're pretty awesome on the phone. May be a website problem.

 

Yeah, I would give them a call on that as it certainly does not seem right. Oh, and you might want to refrain from calling them asshat's when you call. And I also agree you should be able to find something comparable locally if it is just plain old weather stripping.

 

Agree on the name calling lol ... the shipping is ridiculous got me a bit worked up . I have had heavier items ship for less .

 

Check McMaster-Carr as well. I find that I replace the softopper weather-stripping once or twice a year. Could be user-error. But the next time I buy, I'm going with McMaster.

 

Website glitch.

It happened to me when I ordered a replacement zipper pull. A quick phone call and they fixed it. Shipping was 5 bucks.

Although for weather stripping, I can pick that up at my local Ace.

 

I went to my local gasket & seal supplier and they had the good shit. Better than Lowes or HD

 

Haha, try living in Canada. You get used to outrageous shipping costs. Might actually cost that to get it here.

 

If you've every run an business that does online orders, you'll get patience really quickly on the other end.

Well tried calling them multiple times left a message no response. No clue .... maybe they closed shop. And website is still up . I even email them 3 days ago no response no clue what is going on With them . But I found some left over wether stripping from my old tonneau cover that I didn’t use . Hopefully it seals it .

 

Little update .. so apparently softopper is now owned by bestop ...the reason I found out was I got a email from bestop about the wether seals in my basket still . Great now we get crap for customer services from softopper. Well guess my next purchase will be a camper shell .
