    I’ve never eaten fresh chum/dog/keta but it is awesome smoked. And a lot cheaper than the “good” salmon lol

    I certainly don’t have any top secret spots on the Spring that I’m unwilling to share, but don’t ask me for any smallmouth spots. Traveling for work right now (that’s a first in over a year), but I’ll send @totmacher a PM with a couple spots when I make it home.

    @Idaho Fly Fisher

    Either of you have a recommendation for a for fishing guide in yellowstone in July?

    My mom invited my brother and I to join her in west yellowstone for a few nights followed by a few nights at flagg ranch outside the south entrance. I think a few days with a guide would be nice if they are not already booked. I saw what seemed to be mention from you both about fishing in that area... Besides get ready for a crowd, who should I reach out to?

    I was able to get a pair or Orvis ultralight convertible waders today to replace my old ones.

    I'm definitely looking forward to using them this season.

    Helped out with a river cleanup today, and earned some good fishing karma. Another good day on the water.

    There was a river clean up today on the Farmington River that I didn't know about. I found out about it at the Orvis shop. I grabbed a new pair of ultralight convertible waders and headed out to the river for my first day on the water for 2021.

    I didnt get any takers but it was still great to get out.

    Had a blast doing some bass fishing this weekend. Buddy and I fished the 11th Annual “World Championship” Bass on the Fly Tournament on Lake Fork, Texas. Think this was our ninth or tenth time fishing it together and about the fourth time we have finished in second place...at least we’re consistent. Fun times and highly recommended!

    This was our biggest catch, but only the third largest bass measured for the tournament. Ate a foam frog, and made my day.

    A good, old olive wooly bugger was productive, too. Big fish do eat small flies.

    And if you notice, my buddy isn’t standing in the boat with this one. Long story, but let’s just say we are even now. LOL

    Lake fork has some monsters I see..... I have not seen bass that big since I moved to Colorado from Alabama. Nicely done. Sounds like a fun time

    It's complicated.
    What's the name of this river, and where it is? Must go.

    I have yet to do any fishing this year. Been busy hunting bears. The fly rod needs to come out and see some action soon. Took the wife and kids on a drive to a spot on the river. Too busy tying hooks and worms on too actually really fish for myself. Oh well. Plenty of time left this year. New fly shop opened up near where I like to fish too so thats awesome.
