Hi guys, I got the same issue going on,
. I have a 97 Tacoma with a TM lift. There is lots of info about it with a VW strut insert but can't get any P/N to match up on Amazon/ebay with the #s from the threads on here. On mine but the spring Shock Assembly is shot as well and shock is where I am stumped on where to find to replace it. The springs seem fine but the shocks/ struts are trashed. As you can see in the attachment there is an adjustment nut on the bottom and all the ones I see on this forum do not have this. I live in a rural community so I would really like to order once. I appreciate any assistance or info on the Trail Disaster lift.

I’m looking into new top cap with coil on the TM strut to gain stability because of the treads I’ve read.
There’s got to be away to make this lift work and adjust what TM didn’t.
    Determined.

I’m having the same issue with my 98 Tacoma my struts seem to be fine but the rubber bushing at the top of the strut blew out and the top of the strut was sticking out of the bushing and I can’t find parts anywhere and I’m ready to drive this fucker off a cliff! And help or info would be appreciated.

As a VW guy the outer shock is the one using the VW insert. The top unscrews and you can remove the shock insert. The inner shock looks to be stock and could be replaced with any stock length replacement. The hard part is going to be finding a drop in upper strut mount for the outer shock.
