Lots of Black Bears in the eastern woodlands though.
But you're likely to only see the ass end...as it makes off with your food bag.

The PA Game Commission used to have (maybe still do?) a stuffed Black Bear at their headquarters.
It was a big male that was poached, and the poacher was caught in the act.
They weighed it and it was something like 750 pounds, if memory serves.

Mind you, they ain't Teddy Bears and aren't exactly safe.
But they're hunted and are consequently pretty shy of people...mostly.
