No Toyotas come with a block heater from the factory or even at port. They’re dealer-installed options. In certain regions Toyota includes the pricing for it with the vehicle. This is the case for Alberta for instance, so every vehicle has one installed when it gets to the dealer.

It is not the case for BC, though I’m sure there are still dealers that take it upon themselves to install them by default at PDI in colder areas, I reckon you could avoid it if you let them know before the truck hit their lot.

Interesting, thought it was provincial. Never seen one without in the interior.

Brake clunk and low fluid is a way of life.

Yeah. I wasn’t sure if they left the factory with them, or were port installed. I just knew it was an actual requirement for sale in some provinces and territories.

Just out of curiosity, what dealer was this? I want to make sure I don’t go there either.

The clunk is there when I switch directions, once. Seems to be the same for many others. I have never run out of fluid, because I keep an extra 5 bottles in the bed, just in case.

Our Subaru used to do it until I swapped pads. Thankfully the Taco doesn't.
