I just bought my first Tacoma just over a month ago and I’m totally glad I did. I’ve always wanted a TRD, an had no idea there was more then one version, I bought a TRD Sport. I’m very much into this vehicle and I had forgotten how fun it was when I built my 99 to do a build. Not to mention to Do another build on a Tacoma.

Here’s my fleet. And here is my “To Do” list.

Plod start and with the direction I’m taking her I feel like the Build is gonna turn out pretty good.

Good luck I’m sure that list will grow much bigger as we all have discovered what starts off as a few mods gets out of control

I bought a truck box the other day from Facebook Market. It was $125 and dirty, but it’s steel diamond plate. I cleaned it up and painted the inside flat black. I looked up some YouTube videos on what I can use to mount it and came up with L-brackets that are specifically for the rail system. Marked off my spots to drill my holes and to say a set of $15 dollar L brackets worked really well. A pain to set the back bolts, should have had everything ready to go before I dropped the box in place. It’s me that over complicates stuff like this, but it’s mounted and looks good. I only using it for light gear like sleeping bags and maybe one of my lighter tool kits, it that’s it. I would say no more then 75-100lbs if that.
