Dude, how stoked are you! Those patriot campers are awesome. I got to check out a guys X1 last year while it and his Jeep were at a local shop. First impression is definitely quality product.

I'm super stoked. We're going into it somewhat blind, only seeing the videos Patriot has on their website for the X3.

From what I've seen it's a sturdy trailer with a well thought out design/use of space and it should work well for our family.

Just put together my maintenance list for the spring...some of these are items from last year that had to get delayed because of the surgery.

    1) brake work including: front brake pads/rotors, SS brake lines front and rear, fresh fluid
    2) transmission fluid drain/refill
    3) install another leaf spring in the leaf packs, u bolt flip, and new superbumps on the rear axle
    4) adjust front coilovers to level the truck after adding the new rear leaf spring (will need another 1/2" of lift...if it ends up being more I'll have to install a new coil spring up front)
    5) new tires and an alignment
    6) cab mount chop to clear the tires
    7) repaint bumpers, sliders, and skid plates
    8) grease u joints, control arms, and ball joints

August. Production scheduled to begin in just over 30 days now. We finalized the build at the beginning of this month.

Stacking up parts for the truck. Hoping to find a weekend in the next month to get this stuff on and touch up the sliders, skids, and bumpers.

New pads and rotors went on today, just in time too

Figured since I was putting in fresh fluid it was a good time to install the stainless brake lines. The old rear lines we're definitely on the short side. Glad I didn't have an issue because of it.

I’m due for a brake fluid swap and have had extended stainless lines sitting in my garage for a couple years now. How’s the pedal feel? Less squishy?

Only driving has been to bed in the pads but first impression was good. My fluid was 5 years old so who knows if the brakes belt better because of the fresh fluid or the brake lines.

The front lines are a little tighter than I'd like when the suspension tops out (full droop) and the wheels are turned to full lock so I wish I went +1" up front (extended travel fox coilovers with SPC control arms). I'm not sure how I didn't have an issue with the old rear brake line with how tight it was when the rear was at full droop.

First trip will be towing it home from OK through southern CO/UT. Working on the route now but will be spending time in Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients, Bears Ears, Glen Canyon, Grand Staircase, and Capitol Reef.

Once we get it home I'm hoping to get some trips in the Eastern Sierra between Mammoth and Lassen before winter and we will get it down to Death Valley/Mojave for a long weekend at some point when the kids are on winter break.

More parts arrived. Upgrading my brake controller to the RedARC Tow-Pro Elite which has a full manual setting for towing off-road.

Hopefully get it installed tomorrow if the headache I currently have from my second Moderna shot subsides a bit.

I guess I should connect the parking brake wire on the stereo while I'm in here

Happy I finally got the stereo install cleaned up a bit...should have done that a long time ago but I rushed to get it installed before a surgery and wasn't able to get it to sit far enough back in the dash at the time. I also connected the parking brake sensor so we can watch video which will be nice if we get stuck on 80 when it gets closed to clear accidents in the winter.

The new trailer brake controller is nice and looks much better than the tekonsha that was mounted under the steering wheel before. It should be easier to get to now too. I mounted the RedARC box to the metal brace on the lower right of the steering column and put the controller in the switch under the HVAC that I was running the rear camera anytime switch (don't need that anymore since I can control it from the stereo now).

@Juforrest, I believe you can order the plug but I had the pigtail from my tekonsha brake controller...wire colors were the same so I spliced on to that.

Yes. Just order the correct adapter plug.
