What about this from off grid engineering?

Can also mount a fuse block on it for other accessories.

Well, the issue with a dual tray in the factory spot is having 120 pounds sitting on a thin-walled fender. I read that the radiator mount connection shears when off-roading. Would rather mount it under the bed in the spare tire spot or something...thus my dilemma. Anyway, not to derail the original point of this thread lol.

The Redarc will handle the different batteries, so no need to change the profile.

Group 34 AGM deep cycle is about $200. The more you deplete it towards zero, the shorter the battery life. Worst case, about 300 cycles , which works out tothree years camping every weekend. Those batteries are rated 50Ah or, but you only want to use less than 50% of the capacity so if you average 1 Amp per day (most fridges), that is 25 Amp Hours.

Since you don't have that cool spot for the battery, the smaller Lithium-Ion Batteries are lighter and smaller. Battleborn batteries say 100% is usable, so ou get the full 50Ah with that rating. $575 but good for at least 10 years with proper care (keep charged up, keep within working temp range). Still with the 50Ah Battle born it means two days, but add solar are you are good for a few more days. Battleborn 50Ah is small (7.09” x 7.33” x 8.95) but shouldn't be under the hood. I'd stick them inside the cab or in the bed.

I found a 100 Amp solar panel was fine for my needs (fridge, cpap, fan, LED lighting). Challenge with a panel is you should be aimed at the sunlight within +- 15degrees. I used a 4" popsicle stick and would tilt and move every few hours. If the shadow was with 1" it was close to max target netting me close to that 8Ah recharge rate.

Oh yeah, forgot about Lithium batteries...that might be the way to do it. I also got a 100W solar panel for Christmas a year ago, still in its box (sigh)...need to figure out how to mount that also since the access cab doesn't have predrilled roof rack connections and I won't drill into my cab.

Sometimes it feels like I made the wrong choice but I sure love this truck, it's the perfect size.

It humorous as my dream truck for Off-Road is an AC with MT!

My solar panel only comes out when I am parked. On the road, use the Redarc for charging. It's just when you are parked for more than a few days that solar is a requirement.

This is a cool little way of mounting up the Redac Controller. I'll put an extra space in the link, so it doesn't get trashed. edit still trashed
