what the dealer wants

So outta curiosity I went to my local toyota dealer and wanted to know what they would take for my truck . I'm at 120,000 miles and it's a 2017 trd offroad they offered me $40,000 .

 

I seen a 2010 trd offroad at the lot with 38,000 miles and they wanted $36,000

 

40k .. so why are u still driving it I would of drove off the lot with a brand new one lol

 

right? I’m 20 miles from where he lives and my local dealer has a 21 army green dbl cab off road for 38k makes no sense.

 

I just got offered 42k for a 18 pro with 37k on it. Find it hard to believe the dealer is offering that much honestly.

 

Did they put that offer in writing? If so, take it.

 

hurry and run back to the dealership and tell them you want your 40k in non sequential bills

Yeah damn id do it. I wonder why they are paying so much for these. The used ones I looked at were all insanely priced, who the hell is buying these used?

 

Not sure he will be able to find a new truck at this point, The reason used car prices are so high is because new cars are hard to get now due to supply chain issues, lock downs, and other virus related crap. When they do get new trucks in, they mark them up even higher because they can.

 

Maybe financing? So many people finance their cars or focus on a monthly payment they can basically buy and sell the truck at higher rate and make up the difference in payments. Idk. Unless it’s in writing it may just be a scheme to get you in the door.

 

Carvana offered me 26k for my 2015 with 55,000 miles on it. That’s 5k more then I paid..... from them.

Just talked to a guy today, he said the dealer had to fight to get his truck. There is ONE due in July.
