    Yeah.
How many and what types of drives do you have connected? Age? I ask because the PC my daughter and I built was acting flaky, and it turned out to be a brand-new HDD we had connected but hadn't started using. It would take too long to boot and occasionally get laggy. We unplugged that drive and the problem went away. Of course, you can't do that with your OS drive unless you have another way to boot.

I have an SSD and two HDD 1TB each. I just built my PC May 2020. I’ll try disconnecting them to see if that’s it.

Def get the separate cables , maybe try moving the GPU power to a different header on the PSU, and re-seat the card in the slot.

Like you said, never daisy chain a 30 series card. They can draw upwards of 400 watts in bursts stock, that's way too much for one 8 pin to hand and stay stable.

So it turns out it was the cpu the whole time. I was running a ryzen 9 3900x just swapped it out with a new one that I picked up unfortunately there wasn’t many options at bestbuy for Cpu’s. Thankfully it wasn’t the 3080 like I had initially thought.

Got these two AMD cards in the AMD Drop back on 4/16.

Sold the RX 6700 XT to a buddy at MSRP. I'll probably keep the RX 6800 for my new build (unknown time-frame).

Another buddy won the chance to purchase the Asus RTX 3060KO in the Newegg Shuffle and asked me if I wanted to buy it (at MSRP) so I did.

Edit: Before anyone says anything. I'm not in this for mining or to be a scalper. I just like the challenge (no bots) of getting the cards. I have another friend that might be interested in the RTX 3060 and of course I'd sell it to him at MSRP.

    You're doing it wrong. Kiddddddding.

I had pretty good luck getting cards and also distributed them to friends. I got 3 from EVGA wait list(3080,2x 3070), and 2 from Best buy (3090FE, 3070). Lots of canceled orders in-between, it was bananas for a while.

My full EKWB order should be here Wednesday. Ordered a new 5000D case to swap over too since the 011D isn’t wide enough for the new EK blocks.

Nice! I'm a big fan of those 5000D cases. If I had to do it all over again I'd have bought a 5000D Airflow.

So I built my first PC back in 2019 with a Lian Li Lancool 205 Microcenter exclusive case. It was like $50 on black friday so why not haha.

Turns out water cooling in that case is going to be tough, so I have some plans to mod it and allow it to breath a bit better.

Also, did you go with an EKEB pump res combo?

some of this, a little of that
I've been in the EVGA wait list since October 6th for a few cards. I was able to get a 6800XT for myself but a friend is still trying to get a card so I'm still in with EVGA for some 3080's

I went all EKWB. Don't get me wrong, there are other really good companies out there. In fact, a couple of custom places are even better but they're always sold out or selling D5 based pumps for $1K. EKWB is the best combination of reliability and great design you can usually find. Anything cheaper usually has more risk attached. A great example is Corsair. Their first gen GPU blocks leaked and they did not support the people who fried cards because of it. Their next gen stuff may crack if the water reaches about 60c (gamers nexus covered this in text, then took it down when they had trouble replicating but still) which is why I'll avoid their stuff until they have the level of experience EKWB does.

I also love that they're Czech. Nothing like a little former communist country pumping out most of the worlds great water cooling parts.

Been a minute since I drug my fanatec gear out da closet. Havnt played an arcade style game in years.

Been playing it with an x box controller and having a bit of fun, so decided to try the wheel and pedals.
