Bought my 17 DCLB last May with the 50 series Flowmaster dual exit exhaust. On the 600 mile drive home , thought I might want a new muffler. I've grown to like it.

How about the speeding up when you pass thing, is it real or just me?

I don't drive fast, usually 5 over is about it so I don't pass often. When I do it seems a higher than usual amount of the time people will speed up when I move out to pass. Only notice it with the (orange) truck, not my daily van, XJ Cherokee or F-250.

I get that some times, but usually when I am merging onto a highway.. someone behind me will floor it to get infront of me for some reason.

IMO dual exhausts on trucks look dumb.

You can all sleep easy knowing that little tid bit of information. You're welcome.

My truck is rough enough that the people tailgating me are usually cops reading my plates.

It's one on each side, so technically can't look dumb

I will say the exception, again my opinion, is if the rear bumper has cutouts for the bumper. They look decent. Like the new rams. Otherwise two rear exit exhausts on a bumper with no cutouts for exhausts are lame. Two side exits are dumb. Even more dumb on a midsized truck.

    I guess it looks okay.

Why anyone would do this is beyond me.

Yes, this is my thinking exactly, will be worth the 700 bucks for black dual exhaust. The MBRP is the only one I can find really and I would have to shorten it for access cab, also lots of people complain about droning on it. Is carven better? How does it even work?

I would definitely reconsider this idea. First off, these trucks sound horrible to my ears with aftermarket exhaust. I know one guy who has it done and it is a total cringe. My rule is, if it isn’t 8 cylinders, don’t touch it.

In NC my truck sounds like a prius compared to everyone else's trucks, I just want some noise, and if it sounds cheesy then oh well
