I’ve been reading about the Cosmoline coating on TW. https://www.cosmolinedirect.com/bulk-rp-342-heavy-rust-preventive-spray/
People seem to be saying that it stays on the frame longer than Fluid Film, i.e., it doesn’t wash off as easily. I guess that could be a plus or a minus, right?

Anyway, I just bought 2 gallons of Fluid Film, so I’ll try that first.

Gonna buy an airless sprayer and get a whip hose attachment to spray the inside of the frame also.

Would love to do this with of group of people in a clinic-style day. Would also be fun to meet some of the TW people in person. I’m down in Riverside, CT — as far southwest as you can get in Connecticut. Anybody up for that, let me know!

just remember about when snow storms can hit and when they clean salt off the roads. If you can I’d wait until the street sweepers rip through.

Facebook groups have a few people out on Munyon trails etc in the RI spot, so they might not be shut down (yet). Maybe the weekends especially going into the warmer weather will see some law enforcement out there but there’s a guy who went out this past Wednesday afternoon no troubles.

I dunno if they're going to install gates, but I'd imagine they may patrol more regularly, or just prosecute for trespassing.

Anyone looking to wheel the properties accessed through NEA4WD they are hosting off-roading for acreage again this year. No head quarters or camping this year but a good chance to check out properties only available to NEA4WD clubs. All the proceeds go to the land acquisition fund to purchase more land for off-roading. The account is pretty close to having enough to purchase another property.

Do you know anything about the trails, like what's more mud, more rock, etc?

Thank you, I googled “stock Tacoma tire size” and it led to a bunch of TW threads asking the same question but every answer was just “USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!” and then they would link some random thread that asked the same question but got that same answer. It was an endless loop for 5 minutes. So thank you for the genuine answer.

haha tire questions start to wear thin after a while. At the bottom of every TW page is a link to the tire calculator. It will also provide a readout into inches for any size (new) tire.

Which I find very funny because I found TW googling " how big of tire can I fit on my tacoma". Then every time something broke Google sent me back here again.

The Gardner trails are not that muddy, definitely more rocky. Plenty of green and blue trails at that property. Video from a snow run last year
    https://youtu.be/Yg1UqTEE848
The RI trails I’ve only seen half of. One blue loop is pretty long, but definitely want skids and sliders and was very wet a few weeks ago when my club was there. The green loop that we did was fairly easy, we had a stock GC trail hawk make it through. Don’t know what the other green trails are like there.
