OK not dropping coin for a full leaf pack. Got new eibachs on order for front to bring it up an 1.5"ish.

I have ride rights in the back since I carry 4 kayaks, will be carrying camping gear and possibly 3 mtbs on the hitch rack all at the same time. Depends on if everything will fit in the bed. Otherwise will be towing my small trailer with the bikes in it along with coolers.

Looking at AAL instead of 1" spacer. But only constant rear load is the bed rack which is about 100lbs.

With bags deflated (for measuring purposes) is only about 0.5" higher than front. Measured at center of tire to bottom of flare.

Was thinking single long add a leaf from wheelers instead of going 1" block. So around 1-1.5 lift in rear.

Any reason NOT to go the AAL route. Be doing the work myself so not worried about that provided no unforseen problems as chasing parts will be a bit difficult once project is started.

    Thanks.

I would do one of the 3 leaf aal's instead. I rode in a truck with a single and it was much stiffer than I was hoping for.

IMO 3 leaf AAL will be best. Really helps the rear end handling of a Tacoma. Spacer makes handling worse.

Also, if the air bags are bolted on top and bottom, may need a spacer for the bags. Don't want to overextend them.

Nope bags are on cradles. Did that on install as mild offroad does happen.

Was that single the long one that goes in the stock leaf pack, not under it?

It was a single that goes under the stock springs. It had been on the truck for about 2 months and seemed way stiffer than my truck with the same shocks on it. I ended up going with a 3 leaf and it rides much better.

If I was going to run a single rear spring I would do one of these. Supposedly they have the best ride for a single rear spring. https://archivegarage.com/explore-archive/ols/products/2005-tacoma-traveler-aal

That's basically what the wheelers is I'm looking at, long and goes up in the pack. Seems like a middle ground between progressive pack and the crappy under pack AAL.

I think all the aal’s go in essentially the same spot between the factory overload and the leaf springs.

Loving my deaver single AAL with 5100s. Its held the 1 inch lift with 400 pounds constantly in the bed for 5k miles now and rides like stock.
