    Hi,

Like stated above. I'm having the bumper put on next week. Live in rural area, so the bumper is just a get of of jail free card for an animal strike. I don't go off-roading, but I spend a lot of time on forest service roads and the like.

It seems like the ARB and the stock shocks are not ideal. I'd like to get a coil spring that will support the weight of the bumper (no winch), but not raise my truck too much. At least an inch or two, but not much over. Just so it sits level with the bed. Got a steel bumper in the back.

I've spent a few weeks researching this. I've looked at the 5100s, but they are not in stock anywhere it seems. I've also looked at the OME nitrochargers. I have new 885 springs in a box, but I'm not committed to using them.

Will the OME's raise my truck despite the bumper? I see a lot of pictures here, but I'm not sure if those are of trucks with already-existing lifts.

What am I overlooking? I feel like there might be options I don't know about.

    Thank you!

I went with a Dobinsons suspension setup to support my ARB bumper. I ended up getting a mild lift out of the deal as well, but that was the goal anyway. @Crikeymike, reckon you can help this fella out?

OME 886 is recommended by the manufacturer. Lift height will vary.

Those 885's should offset the weight of the added bumper and at least get you up over stock height a little bit. You'll just want to put them on some new struts when you do the install. If your OE shocks are new-ish, you could put them on and plan to replace them when they fail to save some money now, but they generally don't like stronger aftermarket coils that much.

These are in stock in black or yellow and will work with the coils you have already: https://exitoffroad.com/product/dob...9-and-4runner-2003-2009-gs59-221-lexus-gx470/

I have the ome nitro chargers. 2inch heavy load suspension kit. Spc upper control arms.
Couldn't be happier. If you buy the kit with the heavy load dakar rear springs. They are a little choppy. You can disassembly your spring pack. Take the 3rd leaf from the top out and reassemble. This will give you a medium load spring. This is what arb told me when I called the U.S. 1 800 #.

Hey everyone, thank you so much for your replies!! I really appreciate it. I hadn't heard of Dobinsion's before so thank you for the introduction. I'm going to try the Dobinson's on the 885s. @Aaron4wd - you're truck is such a handsome beast! My wife is short so I'm trying to make it easy on her, lol. @Crikeymike @ardrummer292 @doorsidedown thank you all for dropping the knowledge!
