Yeah I would goop it up real good in silicone but that oughta work. Pulling the headliner is a pita I hear.

 

Shit you know what, it's been so long since I installed the thing I forgot that it used well nuts to hold the mounts in place. Those are virtually the same thing as rivet nuts just more waterproof, right? I guess all I'd really need to do is plug those up.

 

Yeah probably just need a button head screw to plug it.

 

There has to be a better way to close a tent than zippers. Always the thing that fails first it seems.

I've never had an issue with the zippers. My ground tent is probably 20 years old and zips up fine.

 

On this one its just the zippers on the rain fly, which are in tension when closed and low to the ground so they pick up plenty of dirt. I gave the sliders a gentle squeeze and that should get me through the weekend, maybe put some new sliders on it for next time.

Its only 10 years old.

Ideally you might wanna put something to cover that area, maybe cut a thin sheet of rubber to fit and rivet in place. Because without the liners there you get tons of dirt, mud and debris in the door jambs. One of these days I'm gonna do it to mine.

Yeah I wanna still bash with a hammer, sand, and then try to reuse the fender liners

 

Only act of clumsiness was me trying to pull off a piece of the pinch weld with my hands instead of pliers haha. Fuck

Should put the tires on and see if/where you're still rubbing before going too crazy with cutting
