    Hello all,
I need some expertise, I currently have the 2020 trd pro tail lights and I have an appointment next week to get them smoked.
I would like to know what every thinks about smoked tail lights and if I should do it.
Looking forward to reading some advice

I'd also think they'll kinda tough to roll up and light

On the other hand, its your ride. Do what you think is good.

Maybe with a nice dry rub and a big bowl of potato salad.

    Otherwise, nope.

My nissan came with them like that, I hated it. Scraping it off and wetstanding took a while, but its normal now.

Since you asked for opinion about smoked lights.

    I hate them.

Purposely diminishing your lighting out put so people have reduced visual cues of braking is uncool.

Exactly. That and they just look dorky to me. Get some nice blacked out Pro taillights, that's even better.

Wait, you already have the Pro tails... Just leave those babies alone man, they're already perfect.

To each their own, I get compliments on my truck all the time, especially about the murdered out tail lights, I’m surely testing the limits with the police, but I got mine professionally painted. So it came out pretty even. I’ve seen some work where you can see the streaks and the smears. This is not that,

If you are ok with the fact that you’re increasing your chances of being rear-ended then sure why not.

If it’s painted professionally. It should be very transparent.

My brothers a professional painter and I have done my fair share of customizing.
Regardless of transparency you’re making a lens darker. Even his smoked corvette taillights are tough to see when sunlight is shining on the back of the car when he taps his brakes.
    Don’t smoke your tail lights.
If you’re asking if you should do it then you’ll likely love it........right up until you get rear ended.
Not sure what your insurance company would say in that case either. I know our local insurance monopoly is always looking for a scapegoat from liability.......just say’n ;)
