I'm still at Feb delivery date. It looks like they are trying to make OTA updates and logging from the end user a focal point of the device. So they should be able to fix bugs on the fly.

Hope they don't get overwhelmed with trying to support every radio and every car combination that supports AA across the globe.

I finally got a tracking number for my AAWireless, this morning. Anyone else receiving theirs this week?

I already ordered a usb extension cable and plan on relocating my 'media' usb Port from the dash to the centerconsole where the AAWireless device will stay connected.

Still waiting on mine. I got the parts to re-route into the glove box. I should have 2 free switch blanks for seat warmers next year.

Are you using a usb extender and just pushing the current plug behind the dash, or did you buy the new radio cable from aliexpress?

I have both options, but the media port switch is a non standard size so I think I'm going to just use the new radio cable and leave the existing usb port in the dash since nothing else fits there.

I got a cable from aliexpress. I haven't made sure it fits yet. I got a new switch panel from Meso and also removed the cigarette lighter.

I've been using mine for a few days now, so far I'm happy, it takes about 45 seconds to auto connect and resume.

I do have some skipping sound issues but I'm not sure if it's a problem with AAwireless or my YouTube Music app.

I have no issues with YTM. I think there are some settings in the app that you can configure to make things work better, but being that I'm not currently connected to it, I cannot see what they are.

By the way, I have the S21 Ultra. Just in case you're curious which device I'm running.

I have skipping issues with just normal AA. It happened in both my pixel 3 and new S21. It doesn't seem to be related to internet speed though. It seems like AA just occasionally gets hung up for some reason.

My pixel 3 skips when playing Spotify. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Skips on wifi, cell data, changed cables, etc. Was hoping a new phone would fix the issue eventually. As long as it doesn't get worse with the AAWireless device, I'll be happy.

I have a Pixel 3 and use it with my 2020 and haven't had any issues with skipping on Bluetooth or AA. I use Google Podcasts and Plexamp for music on it mainly. Will be interesting to see how well it works when my AAWireless shows up.

Been using my AAWireless daily for about a week now. Just updated to the latest firmware today and it's working well, connection time and lag when changing songs from the steering wheel seem to be improved. Only complaint is Android Auto over wifi is killing my battery on my Pixel 3. I drop about 10% battery for every 25 minutes of use.

I also rerouted the Audio Input USB to my Center Console. Really liking the whole setup so far.

I've had mine for about as long now too. So far it works OK, though I haven't used it extensively. One annoyance is that it seems to not like to use Bluetooth when Android Auto is connected. Usually I just want to listen to music/podcasts through Bluetooth and only use full AA when I'm using maps and such as well. So I have been leaving my AAW box unplugged for the most part so I can just use BT like before.

Question, since you seem to be paying more attention to battery... Is the battery drain only if you are actively using AA? Or anytime it is "connected"? I noticed AA comes up after a short while and shows you can start it when you hit the Menu button on the radio, but wasn't sure if it truly is only running (and chewing up battery) when you click the button to start AA up on the radio display. Wondering if I do leave the AAWireless box hooked up all the time if that will eat up my phone's battery even if I'm not actively using AA on the radio. Hopefully that question makes sense? Somewhat related, but I wonder if putting the phone on the Qi charger would keep up or at least offset it a little bit.

Also, mine has seemed to work ok so far, but the 2nd batch of units (which unfortunately mine was a part of, and based on the timing I'm guessing yours was as well) had a misconfigured chip or something and they have pushed out an update to change the DRAM frequency I believe that should fix it. Supposedly it can be unstable due to the memory frequency not being right otherwise. Initially it required connecting the box to your computer and running a program to flash it, but now it looks like they are able to push it as a regular OTA update through the app. Just FYI, if you haven't already done the patch, that might help if you have any stability problems.

I have AA set to autolaunch, so anytime I'm in the car AA launches and it's rolling. I haven't paid attention to battery with AA running but not on screen. (Because now it's always on the screen)

I have performed the DRAM fix and the latest firmware and everything seems good so far.

I did try to quick charge my phone while wirelessly connected to AA and it got so hot that I got a temp warning. I have an SR5 so no QI for me.

I just like to use the wireless when making quick trips to work, grocery store, etc. On longer rides I'll just disconnect the AAwireless and plug-in to the radio to save the stress on my phone.

Yeah I suppose that makes sense to just plug the phone in directly for anything longer than like a 1/2 hour trip anyways.

Where do you set AA to autolaunch? The first time I setup and connected AAWireless it did automatically start up AA on the radio, but since then it doesn't. If I'm in the Menu I see the Projection button turn to Android Auto like it does when you plug it in, but doesn't autolaunch either when I plug in direct or through AAW. Right now as I said I like to just use BT normally, so I kind of prefer it that way, but if I want to change that in the future would be good to know where the setting is. Not even sure if it is on the radio or phone!

It's in the developer settings for Android Auto on your phones app.

Looked back at my tracking and it looks like I got my tracking number on 4/9, it actually left on 4/15, hit customs on 4/19 and sat there for a few days before moving again, and finally arrived/delivered on 4/27.
