For various reasons I didn't even get to go hunting last season.

Quite a few good videos and informative reads put out by CPW relative to the Cameron Peak and Troublesome fires, if that was a factor impacting your 2020 season. Heard(s), for the most part, kept around the fire and retreated back to pockets within their familiar territory which were unscathed once the fire passed. I think this fall, specifically archery season in North Park, is going to present some pretty good opportunity to hunt the burn and new growth, assuming CPWs data is correct and elk have just continued on naturally. The Poudre and Big Thompson are gonna be absolutely fawked once runoff begins here soon, though.

It was number of things that kept me from going:

Freetime and in conjunction with weather
    Other people flaking out
    scarcity of ammo
    the fires affecting areas

and that fuel pump recall on my truck made me a bit apprehensive about driving out to the middle of no where.

Interesting. I got myself and my son in just under the wire. My daughter had bought her own fishing license and entered her DL incorrectly so we couldn't get into her account until it was too late. They definitely shut things off at 8 on Tuesday

You can pick up a fishing license any point during the year through right?

I always wait until the very last minute to give the State my annual charitable donation... looks like they got it a few days early this year after all.

Have to have a fishing or small game to even apply for big game any more, so I just grab the combo fish and small game.

OTC archery for me. Had a buddy finally draw his moose tag in north park after 35 years. Looking forward to tagging along for that hunt.
