You sure? A lot of these lots say they have vehicles but most of them are "in transit." My local dealer says they have 78. They've never had 78 in their life. You go by there it looks like a ghost town.

"In transit" doesn't necessarily mean "on a truck" either...could mean it's allocated, but months away.

That makes a difference. What are they gonna sell you the new one at?

Do they even have any to sell?

If none to sell then you’re gonna sell at a premium and if you do buy, will be at a premium so it’s a wash. The numbers don’t matter as much as timing. Sellers market right now. If you can wait to see if inventory recovers and prices drop, you could come out ahead if they pay you cash now, which I doubt. Might get sellers remorse.

I bought my 21 SR as “Incoming” from my local dealer. Took about 6 weeks from when I placed my deposit but I know the salesperson well and she told me the truck was in transit already and expected to be in within 4-6 weeks. She also said if she ordered one for me, she had no idea when it would get here.

Paid $35,146 out the door. Used dealers around here were selling 2017’s for more than that. And one was an SR, had a spacer lift and 285’s but still nuts at $39k.

I know cause I have a 6in lift in the works my truck is perfectly fine. It's the first vehicle I've bought brand new. But a new tacoma with a supercharger sounds really nice

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
People who don't have a good enough credit score to get into a new one?
