Love this truck, it’s design, and 4x4 performance.
Needless to say, whining differential appears to be a common defect.
My truck is a 2021 double cab 4x4 SR5 with about 4K miles and has an annoying differential whine between 50 and 57 mph.
Didn’t notice it until around 3K miles.
I do a lot of commuting to and from work on the interstate.
First service is due this month and although I can complain, from these posts it sounds fruitless.

Secondarily, if I start off with a gentle throttle, the transmission seems to hunt and up shift too soon at slow speeds causing the engine to bog and sputter.
This seems to be a contentious item worthy of service attention.

Regarding the whine, talk to the dealer, and see if there's any TSBs they can perform on it. Make sure it's noted that you noticed this so it's in the system. Ask them to drain the fluid and refill it. Go from there.

    For the shifting...

Get a tune for 300$ and enjoy your new, new truck.

It's dumb, but honestly makes quite a difference.

    Where abouts do you live?

I didn’t know differential whine was common. Are you sure it’s the diff? Whining usually means $$$, have you taken your truck off-road or into any water? Transmission whine is normal (especially on manuals) but it shouldn’t be all that noticeable.

IMO whatever noise you are hearing is probably blocked out by the mirror wind noise I experience. I wouldn’t tune the truck since you have a 2021 and most likely have a warranty. The dealer CAN see if you have ever flashed the software.
