I have a 2019 and deal with lower back pain. A more exaggerated lumbar support would be grate but curious on any ideas TW may have to make seat a bit more comfortable. I have no complaint about the seats, just would like to customize it to my busted up lower back.

Do your seats not have the lumbar knob?

There's some high quality inflatable lumbar supports that the Auto-X-ers use from the Lotus cars. Dunno the brand but search for those.

Not sure what aftermarket options are available as far as seats go. Our seats are kind of small but as a 6'1" driver, I find them ok, even with somewhat of a back issue myself. You can check on lumbar support pillows of various designs,(google) but will need a thin one, as a thicker one may push you too far forward. Some are designed specifically for car seats, but they can be hit or miss.

When I was in practice, I had patients design their own, via a rolled up towel and duct tape, to place in the lumbar region. (Duct tape to keep the towel rolled up, not secured to the backrest) This way, one can adjust the size of the rolled towel to fit the seat and roll it to the thickness they needed, then place it along the back where needed. Not the prettiest design but effective. My taller patients often would turn their lumbar support pillows upside down to get the support in the right spot. Our seats are concave, so some lumbar supports are too wide to fit properly.

Not sure if that helps any, but swing by a chiropractors office, or maybe a physical therapy office, as most sell them and probably have them in stock. Maybe try making something for yourself first, to see if it makes sense for you.

I’ve had 3 back surgeries I did the front seat jackers and I find my seat is much more forgiving on my back now. It puts me in a kind of leaned back position but not uncomfortable. I’m 6ft and I also have a sun roof and my head room is also much better with the front seat jackers.

Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel & axe) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. CH4x4 switch for front camera and 'anytime' rear camera. Billet front mount seat risers. Bed mounted 4 lb fire extinguisher. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires. Custom Sliders.
I have no input on lumbar additions but I'd recommend you check out the front seat risers if you don't already have them. Getting your legs more underneath you in a typical seated position helps relieve back strain.

Note: Just to be clear I am not talking about the seat spacers that attach to the REAR supports of the front seat. I'm talking about the front attach point spacers for the front seats.

Thanks TW. This is all good stuff. I will try all of it and see what works. I don't have the seat spacers yet so I will look into it along with some rolled towels.

grab an extra shirt or sweater and roll it up and place behind back.

usually starts to get agitating after 1 hour long drives.

In that case I'm excited. Never even thought about putting an amp there, sounds like I have myself a new project. Does it work well for integrating with harness or are you doing pretty aftermarket/sub stuff?

OP, apologies for this tangent off your thread, but here is what I did:

First time ever installing car audio equipment, so I wanted a relatively easy plug n play solution, and wanted to keep the 2020 factory head unit and existing speaker wire.

I went with this adapter (also plugged into the anytime backup camera harness) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087Z1794K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Went with Kicker front & rears, and subaru tweeter. JL audio stealthbox, all powered by this audiocontrol amp https://www.crutchfield.com/S-6OAUM7ONE4G/p_161LC51300/AudioControl-LC-5-1300.html, mounted to a TT amp rack.

The nice thing is that amp has accubass, which corrects the factory bass roll off. It sends 500 watts to the JL, and that thing bumps a LOT harder than I was expecting for a single 10.

I'm thrilled with how it turned out. You will definitely need the spacers to fit the amp underneath the driver's seat.

I can't say for sure it helps with back support, as I wasn't having issues with the factory setup to begin with.

Awesome thanks for sharing. Sorry OP I realize this was a tangent. Hopefully a few of us like music and have back problems!
I have done minimal car audio so this is similar to the route I'd take.

This is what I've been using for many years. Pricey, but sometimes you get lucky if you search thrift stores(they are sometimes a 'free' gift with purchases of their mattresses). I bought mine for $5 at a neighbor's garage sale(still in the unopened box!).

    https://www.tempurpedic.com/other-products/lumbar-support-cushion-travel/

The travel size fits nicely in the driver's seat and the gel- or whatever it is?- molds to my back. However, be careful if you leave your truck outside in the winter. Mine froze solid and a small piece broke off!
