Two more...although with sand and E-loads, they didn't exactly deflate how you'd expect.

Looks like you were getting around pretty good.. Sand is defiantly the ultimate environment for low as you can go air pressure and I can see that the E sidewalls are pretty tough. Where were you at in those pics?

Ran my old std cab down the sand highway on the west perimeter at Glamis a number of years ago.. must have been near 10 psi in the tires and that Taco would hardly get out of its own tracks with the 4 popper.. I've found deep snow can be very similar as soft sand.. need the float with low PSI..

Thanks for sharing the photos.. Wheels look good on the truck especially in the dirt environment. Are they 8" wide zero offset?

The photos were taken at Race Point Beach down Cape Cod. I had my 1993 Xtracab down there two years prior. My well-meaning, but mechanically illiterate friend put himself in charge of locking my hubs. Naturally, I went out onto the beach at 10 PM in 2WD and put the back bumper on the sand in sugar sand. I had my KOs down to like 8 PSI before I realized he didn't lock the hubs. Spun them around and all was well. That being said, I pre-emptively put my KOs to 10-11 psi in those photos. I wish I had gone back when the truck was finished for more photos.

I need to get my 2016 down to the beach at some point and see how things go. It was a blast to pull right up next to the water, hop out, pull my beach chair from the bed and sit down.

I just put 265/75/16 K02’s on a couple of weeks ago w/ no lift and am experiencing rubbing w/ these wheels on full lock if its an off-camber turn/bump. :(

Going to start researching lift options.

Nice. No mudflaps on mine but seems to be rubbing just above where the mud flaps would be mounted.

I wonder where you caster is at. I had KOs on my 2013 and KO2s on my 2016 sans-lift and only rubbed very sporadically on hard turns with a bump in reverse. It was never enough to perturb me, though.

As my KOs wore (maybe 20,000 miles in) I did have a slight tire noise on turn in (like turning from a side street to a main road) I thought was suspension or bearing that turned out to be only tire. I actually pulled my mudflaps post-lift thinking it was a mudflaps.

Obviously even mild lifting solves th red problem.

Those of you who went with the 285s how much trimming did you need to do? I am looking at getting a 2 inch lift. I already bought some Cooper Discover STT Pros. Just curious how much chopping I am going to have to do.

TRD Baja Kit with JBA UCA's 1/2 inch spacer on top, Medium Dakars with BAMF hangars and super bumps all around. 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's on graphite TRD faux beadlock wheels. Pro skid powder coated black with Pelfreybilt aluminum mid skid and aluminum gas tank skid.
This question will vary according to your castor settings. Those tires are 11.2 wide and 32.99 tall according to coppers website. I'm on just over 2 inches of lift and have the AT3 XLT's in 285. They are 11.6 wide and 32.56 tall. I also have JBA uca's and my castor is at 3 degrees. The only thing I rub on is the upper control arm at full lock. At least that is all I've noticed. I did trim a little by the cab mount and pounded the pinch weld just as a precautionary measure because I plan on moving up to 295's.

    Here's my POS.
Not a recent pic... Wheels dirty from pollen... I just lifted it today with camburg UCAs. Planning on getting new tires this later this month can't decide o 265s or 285s. I want to get 285s but don't want to run spacers...
