    'evening all!!

man, I overslept by 2 hours today...I hate waking up late...bolted out the door to school, and got in just as the kids were coming in to first period...12 hours later and I have still not recovered/woken up!! The kids asked why the room was not set up yet etc. etc...and I said "hey, you guys are lucky that I have pants on today..."

Cold and rainy here in C-bus...soaking all of this weather in since it will be gone soon...hot and steamy is on the way

hope all had a smoother day than I did!

have you ever accidentally forgotten your pants? pretty sure you'd be getting called to the principal's office ASAP!

no...but I have had many dreams about it...

one time, I did have a real late gig in Harrisburg PA, and hhad to zip home back to Columbus for class the next morning right after the gig got done at 1am. Got to school just barley...but was still in my "heavy metal" outfit : camo shorts and a Suicidal Tendnecies t-shirt...snuck in the back door of the school and went right to class. Told the kids not to say anything since the principal rarely ever came down to the band room...definitely would have been written up for that!!

I would have gone into a long explanation that your wardrobe was a part of a lesson you were teaching about music appreciation and different genres ... then just to make sure he believed you show up dressed like Beethoven or something a week later.
Are they that strict about dress code? I remember at my high school my one art teacher wore the same white painters overalls every single day for a year.

I am using that...like next week!!

It is a Catholic school system, so they are super strict about us "looking professional"...I am one of the "Black Sheep" of the district in my demeanor, but I teach at the HS that I graduated from, and my program is very very successful, so some of my "non-traditional" traits are overlooked as part of my personality.

I started our teachers rock band - Staff Infection - and we play at pep rallies, dances etc. One of our medleys is War pigs into The Ocean into Back and Black. We even played in front of the new bishop a few years ago when he showed up unannounced at a pep rally....we were all in full metal garb and everything...

And.....long test drive today. Was not interested in photos because it was a beautiful day. Just beautiful. Did stop and take a few. This was along the Missouri River Valley. Rumor is the Chinese own all of the land and soybean and other crops go back to China. Beautiful land, billion dollar farms with mega money equipment. All new track vehicles. Never saw a round tire on anything. Crazy money.
    Anyway....

Good morning everybody. We made it to Friday! Make it a good one.

I told my boss I wasn’t feeling it yesterday so I’m off today. I have a PT session this morning, then I’ll be closing up the drywall on my kitchen project at the barn apartment. After that I plan on sitting on my butt and petting my dog.
