Favorite Whiskey?

I've been enjoying Tenjaku recently.

 

this is probably what I was going to buy

 

I enjoy learning about whiskey, tequila, wine etc....

 

Drove through Tennessee and picked up some of these.
The barrel proof rye is the only one I’ve had. I liked that one enough to grab multiples.

So coming home to pa next month to visit friends and family. Had a buddy pick me up 4 bottles of new riff. Pretty excited since I crushed my bottles and can’t find it here in sc.

 

Just picked this up for a friends retirement...$60

I enjoy the flavor of Jefferson’s ocean aged whiskey.

 

I had picked up two bottles of 107 a while back and opened on. about half way through I researched who the picker of the store pick was and it was Harlen Wheatley master distiller of Buffalo trace. I can’t tell you if it was especially good because I only crack one bottle at a time, and didn’t compare it to a different bottle. My question does this have any more value because of who picked it? Thanks.

 

No more than any other store pick, which is usually nearly identical to regular shelf resale.

OWA107 is desired, but it’s not worth secondary prices. $50 is high as is.

 

I in a Zoom tasting with them this coming Friday. Looking forward to trying out their lineup.

No kidding! Nearest liquor store had it for $180

 

I’ve passed on it several times in Ohio and West Virginia. I’ve never seen it over $50, and honestly .. there are things just as good or better than it in the same price range without the Buffalo Trace hype markup. OWA107 is not rare, it’s just being held like it is to drive up hype during the bourbon craze. Hell, it doesn’t even include an age statement.

 

If you look at buffalo Trace MSRPs, they are all priced pretty much where they should be, it’s the public that drives the price up

what made the Wellers and standard buffalo Trace products stand out was their value per dollar....that has gone out the window

 

It’s ridiculous. I’ll pick up a BT product if I can find it reasonable, but if not.. 4 Roses SiB or SmB Select.

 

Small batch select is money!! Love it

 

I would rather drink bowmans then 107 honestly and I’m the biggest bt fanboy on here haha
